Weekend Brew

This week, we talk about home networking, having more productive Zoom meetings, and Final Fantasy. Also, take a look at my recent posts on how habits lead to mastery and my book notes on The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fck. Enjoy!

Technology

Mac Power Users released a podcast on home networking, which has great advice for those who are looking to improve their internet speeds. It discusses the technology behind home networking and the available hardware that will maximize your internet bandwidth. This is especially useful these days in the age of remote work coupled with more home users consuming bandwidth.

TechCrunch discusses a startup, Norby, that’s consolidating many marketing platforms including email marketing, link-in-bios, and event scheduling. I appreciate this idea, as having to navigate the ecosystem of different tools can be overwhelming to content creators.

Miscellany

First Round Review has a great article detailing overcoming Zoom fatigue and remote meetings. This includes tactics on how to encourage more participation in meetings, how to eliminate unnecessary meetings, and how to improve morale remotely.

Final Fantasy I, II, and III pixel remasters have been released on mobile platforms with more to come. I’m excited to try them out. I’ve been a big fan of Final Fantasy for most of my life, and it’s great to see Square embracing the mobile era while leveraging its incredible legacy of games.
