My Professional Interests

My business experiences and educational background have given me many specialties and professional interests. My concentrations within the finance discipline include project valuation (calculating Net Present Values, Internal Rates of Return, Profitability Indices, etc…), accounting, stock valuation and derivative valuation (using Black Scholes or binomial modeling).

From a business management prospective, I have come to enjoy operations, project management, staff management, new business start-ups and furthering my knowledge of employee motivation techniques.

Web design, blogging and studying social networking trends are some additional professional interests I enjoy.

My Background

I come from a family full of entrepreneurs. My fiancee and I have been running our skin care company, Essentially Smooth since the middle of 2008. My father has owned his accounting firm for over twenty years, my mother has her own interior design practice and my younger sister designs and sells Day of the Dead Skull Earrings.

I started my first business venture when I was 14 years old, offering my web design services to local businesses. I had funded the business with report card money I had been given, and was proud enough to have earned a 2000% ROI over the few short (and part time) years I was running the business.

Present Day: My Accomplishments and Goals

Since then, I have co-founded my second business venture, Essentially Smooth. I also started the blog, Entre-Propel.com, which contains motivational articles for entrepreneurs. Additionally, I currently work as an accountant and am actively building a career in corporate finance.

Before I retire, I hope to start-up and operate over 100 successful businesses. I plan to do this by building on the accomplishments of each of my ventures, while learning from my failures.

I welcome you to reach out to me if you have ANY questions. I would also love any feedback you can give me, so feel free to contact me.
